The kitchen in this Devonport home was designed for a client who wanted a plywood look with an industrial feel. In response, Chroma Interiors first developed a space plan that created a functioning kitchen for both cooking and entertaining.

Stainless steel benches are used in the work areas, with marble on the island, which seats four and acts as an area for both guests and a workspace for the cooks.

Black and Birch plywood is used for the cabinetry, which coordinates well with the existing concrete floor. White subway tiles are used on splashback to keep the look clean and modern. New pendant lights and accessories add to the overall scheme.

“I made contact with Margaux, Chroma Interiors, after I saw a recommendation for her work on our local community Facebook page. She absolutely lived up to the recommendation, and I have frequently recommended her to others.

Margaux was superb to work with, super responsive, creative, intuitive, positive, warm and down to earth.  Nothing was too much trouble. She has great relationships with tradespeople and craftspeople. As a result, there were never any issues with no-shows or delays, and they were all lovely people to have working in the home (electricians, plumbers and cabinetmaker).

I wanted ply cabinetry, stainless steel and stone surfaces. Coincidentally she had just completed a project using similar materials for a local kitchen and arranged with the homeowner for me to view the finished kitchen, which was impressive. I couldn’t be happier with the finished result in my home, and everyone who has visited has been similarly impressed.

I recommend Margaux unconditionally. You won’t find a lovelier person to work with.”
